I saw a youtube video comparing the x4 call quality to other earbuds and the sound quality was "muffled". can this be remedied with a software update?Back to product

  1. Hi Sarah,Thank you for your inquiry. For low sound quality, this may be resolved by choosing the right size of the earbud tips to ones that fit more snugly into your ears to obtain proper sound qualities, noise canceling effects, or call performances. For music playback, you may need to switch the Bluetooth connection to A2DP with the connected device when the headset and the transmitting Bluetooth device are connected via an HFP or HSP Bluetooth connection. When you want to prioritize the sound quality, select the “Priority on sound quality” mode.If the connection is unstable, such as when producing only intermittent sound, select the “Priority on stable connection” mode. You may switch the settings and check the sound quality mode with the “Sony | Headphones Connect” app that you can download from the Google Play Store App Store from your smartphone. Hope this helps. - Kris
